Incremental Progress

First.... here's the braid I made yesterday from my thrums. I like it, though I probably should learn how to use the white balance on my little camera. I still need to secure the ends before I stitch it onto the kindle bag, and also figure out exactly where I want to attach it.

Speaking of progress - look how HUGE the babies are. We expect them to fly away any day now, but it's still so thrilling to open the front door and see them there.

The babies continue to fascinate me.

Around here (in New Hampshire), the only birds that are incubating eggs are owls who get started early. We probably still have a month to go before we'll see the first returning hummingbirds.

The braid looks good! I almost made a braid for a purse I was making, but then found the perfect thing at the fabric store. (I didn't weave the purse, so didn't have anything good to make a braid from!)

Hope you get to see the babies when they fly!

I'm starting to loose count of the number of times this week I've had kumihimo braiding brought to my attention. Haven't tried it before, but I feel like I'm being told something. Must... resist.... Do not... need... another craft!! LOL

I must say though - using the thrums to braid a matching handle is a great idea!
